Fresh Tomato Pizza

Slice, salt, and drain

  • 1-2 fresh ripe tomatoes
  • pizza dough
  • cheese - according to preferrance
  • additional toppings as desired


Slice fresh from the garden tomatoes. Salt, and place on rack to drain.

Prepare pizza dough or purchase fresh dough from pizza parlor.
(We get ours from Caputo’s Grocery.)

Stretch dough to desired size.

Top as desired:
We used Freshly grated Gruyere Cheese
Freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese
Partially cooked, sliced Italian sausage
Sliced sweet onion
Sliced black olives

Sometimes one jalapeno pepper will add a bit of zing

Bake on a pizza stone in 500° oven for 10-12 minutes
