Over Manifestis an interesting book and a page turner, by Clare Vanderpool. The genre's in Moon Over Manifest is mystery, historical fiction, and coming of age. Moon Over Manifest tells a story of two independent people, and lived in Manifest, Kansas in two different eras: 1917-1918 and 1936. The main character is Abilene Tucker, she is 12 years old and is living in the year 1936, he father Gideon made Abilene stay in Manifest during the summer with Shady, Gideon's friend. Abilene wants to know about this place and my her father sent her there. In Manifest Abilene meets people and finds out about everyone and everything. She also finds out about 2 boys Jinx and Ned, form Shady's letters. She goes to a fortune teller, Ms. Sadie and she tells her about them everyday. Abilene finds out about a rattler, and other people from 1917 and something that happened in Manifest that people don't want to remember. Abilene finds out that Jinx was a criminal and might be someone that is very close to her... Is Jinx her father?? Why would his name be Gideon then? Why is Ned in the story? You'll need to read and find out.

When I read this book I quickly found out the questions I asked, but there was another story to Ned and Ms. Sadie that no one was expecting.. When you read this book you have to take notes and take our time to think. My favorite part of the book was when Gideon came back from his job to see Abilene, because she needed him. My least favorite part was when one of the main characters died. I would like to re-read this book. I recommend this book to anyone (boys and girls) who is around the age of 12- 15. I rated this book five stars. I also hope that my review on Moon Over Manifest helped you.
