Ground Beef Stroganoff

Conversion Table U.S. to Metric and Metric to U.S.


  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 medium onions (or minced onion equivalent)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • small can sliced mushrooms, drained and chopped into small bits
  • 2+1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup consomme or bouillon
  • 3 TBS tomato paste
  • 1+1/2 cups sour cream mixed with 4 TBS flour (okay to use full pint of sour cream)



Brown ground beef in large skillet, add onions, garlic and mushrooms.
Saute until onion is golden brown.
Add remaining ingredients. Stir thoroughly.
Let simmer as you prepare noodles.
Serve over hot buttered noodles, pasta or rice.
