After three years of hard work, I finally graduated with a First Class Honours in Actuarial Science from the London School of Economics (LSE) recently! It was a truly humbling experience for me to go on stage, with a couple of student awards for academic excellence in tow, to shake hands with Craig Calhoun, the Director of the LSE (our Chancellor-equivalent) who is also a renowned sociologist and an advocate in applying social science principles to address issues of public concern. Besides, it was also most rewarding to graduate alongside many other outstanding students from across the world. This experience reminds me that hard work and persistence eventually pay off and will definitely spur me on to aim for greater heights in life!

I am currently interning in the Sales and Trading function within the Citigroup banking industry in London, where I facilitate the trading of corporate securities such as stocks and bonds to institutional investors. In September 2013, I will be pursuing my Masters in Finance and Economics in either the London School of Economics ( LSE ) or University of Cambridge as I am privileged to have received offers from both institutions. My aspiration is to work in the investment banking industry, and in particular, handling Sales, Trading and Research functions.
